CRC team members and Olympic rowing coach Tim McLaren
California Rowing Club
Imagine the glory of being able to eat 6,000-7,000 calories a day without gaining an ounce of fat! Well, you can do that if you are 18+ and a member of the California Rowing Club. This rowing club is a year-round training camp for elite-level athletes who intend to compete at world championship events and the Olympic Games. The California Rowing Club works closely with the US National Rowing Team and is located on the Oakland Estuary where the athletes train twice a day for six days of each week. You can imagine the calories they consume and the appetite they develop!
The Head Coach is Tim McLaren, an Olympic-level rowing expert from Australia. His athletes have won medals at every world championship and Olympic Games that they have participated in. Coach McLaren intends to impart this expertise to his athletes here with the goal of winning medals for the United States.
"Dorothy is very professional and pleasant to have in your home. I was often at home when she was cooking and I always enjoyed her company. Best of all, my kitchen was always clean when she left!" Susan – Belvedere
